"Jesus Is Lord" This is a diorama I built based on a sign from the neighborhood where I grew up. It was located on a property belonging to a family named Hicks. You can read more about them here. These are the only two reference images I could find of the sign. Yes, one says "Jesus Is Lard." That photo was sent to me from the personal archives of a dear friend and incredible musician, Phillip Roof. The other is from Google Maps historical data. The first image here is from when I began building this set. I realized I missed the submission date for the 2025 Kentucky State Fair. I let my emotions get the best of me and ignored it for a year. The second is after I finally paid the submission fee and finished the project. You can see it in the North Wing, East Hall of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center this year for the 2026 Kentucky State Fair!
